SITE SUPERVISOR

Description:

To assist the Project Manager in the delivery of projects by supervising and coordinating the on-site activities
Responsibilities & Authorities: 

  • Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the company Procedures – Project management manual, quality management plan, safety management plan and environmental management Plan and other relevant specifications.
  • Ensure that records and documents are filed and managed in accordance with the company procedures
  • Ensure that non-conformances are being recorded and take corrective action as necessary
  • Ensure that only current drawings and documents are used. All superseded drawings kept are to be marked as superseded.
  • Refer all approaches by the media or union representatives to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure that the program is updated weekly with the Project Executive
  • Coordinate and manage all site activities of site staff, sub contractors and suppliers etc
  • Communicate to all site staff, sub contractors and suppliers site activities and ensure timely response to program requirements
  • Participate in On Site Coordination meetings with project manager, project executive and Sub Contractors, suppliers etc, ( in the absence of project executive or project manager Site Supervisor is to organize and Chair these Coordination Meetings.)
  • Participate in client meetings as required
  • Coordinate with purchasing department and purchase materials and equipment for site use as requested by the Project Manager.
  • Ensure that materials and equipment delivered to site are adequately identified, and safely
  • Handled and stored to prevent loss, damage or injury.
  • Ensure that measuring and testing equipment required for the work area is properly identified, calibrated, adjusted and labeled.
  • Ensure that plant and equipment is maintained in a safe condition and is regularly serviced.
  • Conduct in-coming, in-process and final inspection and testing for on-site activities in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans and Checklists, Safe Work Method Statements and the results are recorded.
  • Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with current codes, standards, operation & maintenance manuals, specifications, drawings, etc.
  • Ensure that all processes are carried out by qualified tradesmen in accordance with approved procedures; Work Cover and Safe Work Method Statements.
  • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the project environmental plan.
  • Promote environmental awareness to project personnel.
  • Implement and maintain environmental controls.
  • Participate in and promote environmental awareness to project personnel.
  • Assist the Project / Site Environmental Representative to ensure environmental controls are effective by reporting apparent non conformance
  • Ensure that employees are inducted and are sufficiently trained and experienced to carry out their work.
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Education, Training, Skills and Experience:

  • Possess at least a Professional Certificate in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in property development and construction overseeing the overall project planning, implementation and site management in a multi-million projects.
  • Outstanding project management skills of having completed projects in time with good costs (costs within budget), quality and safety control.
  • Capable to handle multiple projects through effective site administration.
  • A mature individual who is result-oriented, aggressive, committed and pro-active with good leadership qualities.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other relevant government authorities to achieve delivery objectives.
  • Good knowledge of budgeting, cost estimation, contract documentation and specifications, and project planning software & related tools
  • Must possess a high level of dedication towards works.
  • Knowledge of the laws and ordinances regulating of project construction
  • Able to manage / organize site works
  • The ability to establish and maintain good working relationship
  • Ability to analyze expenses, project payroll and inter-related activities
  • Has a strong computer skills (MS Office Applications)
  • Have a strong interpersonal skills and committed to excellence
  • Has the leadership ability, a team player and innovative
  • Good command of spoken and written English, Malay and Chinese

PROJECT EXECUTIVE

Description:

To be responsible for leading team members to develop critical relationships by demonstrating and promoting effective relationship building throughout the company, with subcontractor, vendors and throughout the industry.
Responsibilities & Authorities: 

      • Enhance Client relationships through award winning service, follow-up and successful project completion
      • Promoting positive relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and suppliers, and continually instilling this philosophy in the project team.
      • Communicating effectively with field team members as well as keeping them active in decision-making.
      • Maintain awareness of the Clients’ needs and project parameters so that software can coordinate design and construction activities that do not interfere with business operations.
      • Strategy throughout job set up.
      • Collaborate with Estimating and Purchasing in the up-front set up of projects to insure profitability, client satisfaction for the job.
      • Mentor and coach project team to ensure their skills and capabilities are being developed by establishing annual performance goals for each direct report and ensure that goals are established.
      • Formulate and develop contract terms with clients and communicate to project team.
      • Assist Project Manager oversee project team members’ performance and morale.
      • Directly engage in staff development along with addressing and resolving all staff issues as they arise.
      • Ensuring implementation and compliance of policies and procedures on projects.
      • Guide multiple jobs and multiple job teams operationally in each phase including pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction services.
      • Foster an environment that promotes a cohesive and team-oriented healthcare practice group.
      • Identifying potential risks to the project managers’ on-going operations planned project. Develop plans and measures to minimize and mitigate the potential risks.
      • Assist Project Manager to prepare monthly project status reports
      • Responsible for project documentation, planning and necessary reports required by the project
      • Assist Project Manager to Prepare and making presentations to clients as requested for projects in progress
      • Conferring with all project team members on strategic or technical issues to ensure a delighted client and a successful project that meets project specific profit goals.
      • Attending and participating in meetings with the client, architect and sub-contractor.
      • Other duties as assigned
